Biography

Born in September 1953, Toshiyuki Shiga graduated from the Faculty of Economics of OSAKA Prefecture University in March 1976. The following month in April 1976, he joined Nissan Motor and was appointed in January 1990 Manager of the Asia and Oceania Operation Division.

In October 1991, Toshiyuki Shiga became General Manager of Jakarta Office, Asia and Oceania, before being in March 1997 Manager in the Corporate Planning Department.

In July 1997, he was appointed Senior Manager of the Corporate Planning Department. In July 1999 Toshiyuki Shiga was appointed General Manager, Corporate Planning department as well as General Manager, Alliance Coordination Office.

In April 2000, he was appointed Senior Vice President in charge of Overseas Sales Division No. 1 (Asia, China, Oceania, Central and South America) before becoming Senior Vice President in charge of General Overseas Market (GOM) Sales and Marketing Division in April 2002.

One year after in April 2003, he also became Member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Management Committee for the GOM region. Toshiyuki Shiga was appointed Chief Operating Officer in April 2005 and Representative Director in June 2005.

Since February 2009, Toshiyuki Shiga is Representative Director, Chief Operating Officer and oversees External and Government Affairs, Intellectual Asset Management, Design, Brand Management, Corporate Governance and Global Internal Audit.
