David Busam is Alliance Global Director, Customs & Trade. He is responsible for all global customs and trade operations for both Renault and Nissan, as well as customs planning activities for both companies. Busam identifies and implements synergies within each company that increase compliance, reduce cost and/or allow the supply chain to function more fluidly.

 

Prior to joining the Alliance, Busam worked as an international business attorney in the United States for twenty years, with a specialty in international trade and customs.

 

Busam was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, and a Juris Doctorate and an MSc in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington DC. Busam is fluent in Japanese.
