The Renault Zoe, Twizy and Twizy F1 were put to the test recently by one of the world's best pilots -- triple Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel.
Invited to test the zero-emission cars at Renault's Z.E. Centre on Seguin Island in Paris, Vettel was impressed by his first experience at the wheel of an all-electric vehicle, commenting on the lack of noise and calm. While all three cars were given the German champion's full approval, he particularly enjoyed testing the Twizy F1 Concept.
Developed as a unique sports vehicle, the Twizy F1 benefits from a top-of-the-range KERS system, as used in Formula One cars. In addition, the Twizy F1 features slick tyres and an over-the-top body kit with side pods, rear diffuser, and front and rear wings. Vettel piloted Renault's fastest EV around a few laps of the track, no doubt taking it close to its top speed of 110 km/h (68 mph).
