Thanks to the Corri-Door network of fast charging points, electric vehicle drivers in France can comfortably undertake long journeys with peace of mind. Strategically positioned every 80 km (50 miles) along France's main traffic thoroughfares, the charging stations are compatible with all commercially available EVs, offering drivers optimal autonomy.
With Corri-Door's fast-charging technology, a vehicle such as the Nissan LEAF or Renault ZOE can recover more than 80% of its autonomy within 30 minutes – or the time it takes to have a short break on the motorway. The network's 200 charging points were installed at a cost of 10 million euros, with half the investment financed by the European Union and half by a private consortium, including Renault and Nissan.
To use the network, EV drivers can subscribe to the service or buy a pre-charged card from a service station or in a shopping centre. It is also possible to pay using a text message service on a smartphone, with 30 minutes of charging available for 9 euros.
