Nissan delivers the first LEAF sold in Mexico

Nissan has made history once again with the delivery of the first Nissan LEAF sold in Mexico. The pre-sale of the first all-electric vehicle comprehensively marketed in the country ended successfully with the arrival of LEAF at certified dealerships and the first delivery of this innovative vehicle.

Carlos Gonzalez, 38, owner of a sports shop in the city of Cordoba, Veracruz, has dreamt of owning a Nissan LEAF since he first saw it in 2011. Ever since that day, he has been saving to buy his dream car and has even built a covered garage with electric door to park it safely at his home. He is very close to nature and feels excited to be contributing to the environment with his climate friendly LEAF.

Carlos took delivery of his silver Nissan LEAF at the Nissan Polanco dealership in Mexico City. Toshiyuki Shiga, representative director and vice chairman of Nissan Motor Corporation, handed Carlos the car’s intelligent key and documents that make him the first proud owner in Mexico of this car that is transforming traditional driving into a new silent experience.

Nissan LEAF is available for sale in Mexico through Nissan’s certified dealership network located in Mexico City and the states of Aguascalientes, Nuevo León and Morelos, with expansion plans on the way, along with new investment for more charging infrastructure in the country.
