Renault and Dongfeng get greenlight for auto joint venture in China
Renault and Dongfeng have received approval from Chinese authorities to set up a joint venture to manufacture and sell vehicles in China, the world’s largest auto market. The establishment of the joint venture will allow Renault to strengthen its position in China and expand its industrial footprint.

Currently, Renault imports its vehicles into the Chinese market.  Renault’s Alliance partner Nissan already has a partnership with Dongfeng, one of China’s largest automakers. Together they produce and sell vehicles through their joint venture Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. established in 2003.
