Biography

Mitsuhiko Yamashita joined Nissan Motor in 1979, and was transferred to Nissan Research and Development. in 1996 where he then held multiple positions in Vehicle Design Engineering.

In 2002, he was transferred to Nissan Technical Center North America, and in 2004 became Senior Vice President in charge of Environmental and Safety Engineering, Technology Planning, Materials Engineering, Measurement Engineering, Advanced Vehicle Engineering and Electronics Engineering.

In 2005 he became Executive Vice President supervising Research, Technology and Engineering and was appointed Member of the Board of Directors. In 2006, he became Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President supervising Research and Development.

Yamashita holds a Master degree of Aeronautical Engineering from Kyoto University, and studied Advanced Research at MIT.
