How the Renault-Nissan Alliance is electrifying the world

How the Renault-Nissan Alliance is electrifying the world

With a full range of pure electric vehicles, Renault and Nissan are the global leaders in sustainable mobility.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance has spent many years perfecting a range of silent-running electric vehicles that produce no tailpipe emissions whatsoever:
-   Family cars
-   Chic urban transport
-   Compact hatchbacks
-   Practical vans

These 100 per cent pure battery-powered cars and vans are not just good for the environment but offer practical everyday transport. They are comfortable, great to look at and fun to drive.

Over the next few years we will be bringing more EVs to market offering even greater choice: by 2016, we aim to sell 1.5 million zero emission cars globally… and will have made a real contribution to the quality of life in our towns and cities. By joining our quiet revolution you can help make a difference, too.

Zero-emission transport is not the future… it is now. Find out more about our electric vehicles and become part of the revolution that’s set to change the world.

Nissan LEAF

With about 50,000 units sold globally, the multi-award winning Nissan LEAF sedan has shown that EVs are a serious and practical alternative to conventional cars. Roomy and rapid, Nissan LEAF’s advanced lithium-ion batteries give it a range of 175km (NEDC)… farther than 90 per cent of Europe’s motorists drive in a day.

Renault EVs

This year, Renault will have no fewer than four electric vehicles on sale in Europe and other markets. The four are wildly different, appealing to different buyers with different needs.

*******

Renault ZOE

Built for the city, Renault ZOE’s sharp lines and confident stance set it apart from other compact cars… and that’s before you take into consideration its electric power train. With a range of 210km, it will easily handle a typical day’s driving.

Renault Fluence Z.E.

A handsome four-door sedan, the Renault Fluence Z.E. (for Zero Emission) provides spacious family transport. It is powered by a synchronous electric motor with the equivalent of 95hp.

*******

Renault Kangoo Z.E.

The conventional Renault Kangoo is a respected, robust and versatile light commercial van that’s not afraid of hard work. The Renault Kangoo Z.E is all this and more.

*******

Renault Twizy

And now for something completely different. A tandem-seat four-wheeler, Renault Twizy is unlike anything else on the roads. As much fun to drive as it is to look at, Renault Twizy is nimble, dynamic and can be parked just about anywhere.

Nissan’s future EVs

Undergoing trials in Tokyo and London is a pure electric version of the company’s award-winning NV200 light commercial van.
Perfect for local deliveries, the e-NV200 can make silent, emission-free trips into the heart of the city before being recharged overnight. Meanwhile Infiniti, Nissan’s premium brand, stole the 2012 New York motor show with a battery-powered four-door sedan, Infiniti LE. Still at the concept stage, a production version will reach showrooms within the next two years in ‘near-similar’ form.
