Renault Kwid - the first Alliance vehicle built on CMF-A architecture

The Renault Kwid compact hatchback for India, which will have a starting price of 300,000 rupees (about 4,200 euros), is built on the Alliance’s CMF-A architecture. CMF stands for Common Module Family and is the Alliance’s unique modular system of vehicle architecture.

The system allows Renault and Nissan to build a wider range of cars from a smaller pool of parts. CMF covers most vehicle segments. CMF-A represents the smallest and most affordable category of vehicles in the family. Learn more in this video here.
