Flagship cars reinvented at Paris Motor Show

Renault and Nissan are both showcasing radical makeovers of flagship cars at the Paris Motor Show (4-19 October). At the Renault stand, the new Espace is lighter, more dynamic and more agile than ever before, while Nissan's new-look Pulsar makes its first public appearance in Paris.

Renault's new Espace features the large cabin space and comfort of previous generations, while offering improved performance and driving pleasure. The Espace 5 features fluid, elegant lines and is 250 kg lighter than the Espace 4. Thanks to Renault's R-Link 2® tablet, drivers can control a whole range of in-vehicle functionalities, including the capacity to fold the rear seats into the floor. Furthermore, Renault's new Multi-Sense® system configures the car's responsiveness and internal lighting to match the mood of its driver.

Renault's stand in Paris also plays host to the Renault Clio Initiale Paris, a luxury version of the Clio with a sleek new interior, xenon headlights and the R-Link 2® multimedia tablet. The Initiale Paris designation is Renault's new seal of quality, and all cars bearing the name will feature distinctive interiors and exteriors, as well as a host of technological innovations.

At the Nissan stand, the centerpiece is the all-new Pulsar. This five-door family hatchback makes its public debut in Paris and marks Nissan's return to the C-segment. As well as offering more rear legroom than any other car in the sector, the Pulsar comes with a host of innovations, including Nissan's Around View Monitor. Visitors to the show can also discover the Nissan Pulsar NISMO design concept and the sporty 190PS Pulsar, which features a powerful 1.6 DIG-T engine that limits CO2 emissions to as little as 138 g/km.

Other highlights at the Nissan stand include a glimpse of the new Qashqai SV1 special edition, Nissan's popular crossover, and the Juke NISMO RS, which features a 218PS engine, improved precision braking and mechanical Limited Slip Differential on the 2WD models.
