From NASA Mission Control to the Driver’s Seat, Scientist Shapes Future of Autonomous Driving

Nissan has just launched Drive, a publication focused on sharing the stories driving our society towards a zero-emissions and zero-fatalities future.  It’s about fostering conversations in a space where drivers, car-aficionados, technology enthusiasts and industry experts can come together and share their vision on the future of driving.
 
The first publication on Drive is about Maarten Sierhuis, a former NASA researcher who is now the director of the Nissan Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley. He leads one of many Renault-Nissan teams working on the autonomous vehicle program around the world and talks about how the company’s autonomous vehicle strategy provides drivers with new choices on the road with “systems that are good for people”.
