ERDF, the French electricity distribution network, has furthered its commitment to electric mobility with the purchase of 24 new EVs in the Rhône-Alpes region . The company has previously shown its support for sustainable mobility by participating in a range of local green initiatives.

 

The 24 new Renault Kangoo ZE vehicles acquired by ERDF will be used by employees at the Vénissieux site on the outskirts of Lyon.

With an autonomy of 130km (81 miles), the all-electric vans are well suited to transporting tools and equipment locally, and the company is planning to invest in 200 zero-emission vehicles in the region over the next three years.

 

Finding the nearest electric vehicle charging point in France – and eventually right across Europe – is about to get much easier. A number of stakeholder companies, including Renault, electricity company EDF and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), have got together to form GIREVE SA.
