Nissan installs Europe's 1,000th 30-minute electric car charger
Nissan has announced 1,000 CHAdeMO quick chargers have now been installed in Europe with the commissioning of the charger at the Roadchef Clacket Lane Services in Surrey, UK. The fast charging unit can recharge the batteries of compatible* electric vehicles- including the 100% electric Nissan LEAF- from zero to 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes, and at zero cost.

Next generation European compact car from Nissan to be manufactured by Renault in Europe

Nissan Motor Co.,Ltd. today announced that the replacement for the current Nissan Micra compact car will be manufactured at a Renault plant in Europe. Due to start production in 2016, the vehicle will be exported across Europe’s left-hand drive markets.

Nissan LEAF: Built in Europe, for Europe

Nissan LEAF: Built in Europe, for Europe

While the original Nissan LEAF was built solely in Japan, New LEAF is being built in three locations: Japan, North America and Europe.

Production of New LEAF for Europe started in March at Nissan's record-breaking plant in Sunderland in the UK. It is built on Line 1 alongside the hugely successful Qashqai and Qashqai +2 models. The plant also builds Juke and Note on its Line 2.
