Vienna R20 conference is closing its doors this evening. Organized by the Regions of climate action (R20), founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger, it focused on implementing the sustainable energy future. Among the many key speakers, the Alliance Renault-Nissan was represented by Philippe Schulz (Renault) and Olivier Paturet (Nissan), who discussed tomorrow’s energy mix and technologies for a smart future. The Alliance also brought electric vehicles that attendees had the chance to test-drive. Here are the 3 things to remember about the Renault-Nissan participation.

I was part at Vienna R20 conference,  of a panel on the energy mix of the future, alongside Kandeh Yumkella, UNIDO Director General, Arnold Schwarzenegger, R20 Founding Chair and R20 President, Michèle Sabban. Developing sustainable energy for all is a clear commitment for the Alliance, as demonstrated by our CEO membership to the high level group set up by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon in November 2011.

The R20 conference, taking place January 31st-February 1st, 2013 in Vienna, with Founding Chair Arnold Schwarzenegger, focuses on the topic of implementing the sustainable energy future. On that occasion, we had the chance to meet with Kandeh Yumkella, Director General UNIDO. We asked him what Renault-Nissan could do to develop a more sustainable and energy efficient future for all.
