Riding vs gliding

Riding vs gliding

One of our Renault Fluence Z.E.s escaped from our official fleet to meet some locals near the beach.

Paulo Eduardo, a hang-gliding instructor, got a chance to test drive the car and told us how riding a Renault Fluence Z.E. is very much like gliding through the air!

A zero-emission escape to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro

A zero-emission escape to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro

Our Renault Fluence Z.E. and Nissan LEAF have been working hard shuttling UN delegates around all day. So we decided to give them some time off and take them to the beach.

Renault-Nissan Alliance & United Nations partner for Zero-Emission mobility at Rio+20

A fleet of electric vehicles from the Renault-Nissan Alliance will shuttle United Nations delegates at its Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, the world’s largest environmental summit.

The conference, which runs from June 13-22, marks the first time the UN will use a dedicated zero-emission car fleet for shuttling its delegates.

More than 50,000 delegates, including 400 from the UN, are expected to attend the summit - nicknamed “Rio+20” - to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the United Nations’ Earth Summit in Rio, where countries agreed to a blueprint for economic growth, social equity and environmental protection.
