Brussels, Belgium - April 14, 2011 - Today, the Renault-Nissan Alliance and the Government of Catalunya marked their recent agreement on the deployment of electric vehicle infrastructure in Catalunya, Spain, by participating in European Sustainable Energy Week 2011.

A conference on "Electro-mobility today in Europe: from theory to reality" gathered several stakeholders and gave the opportunity to the general public to know more about the deployment of charging infrastructure for the Electric Vehicle in the region of Catalunya.

Mark Goodier is a DJ with popular radio station Smooth FM and a long-time EV enthusiast while electronics engineer Richard Todd and his wife Jane were the very first people to place an order for the LEAF when the books opened in September.

Renault-Nissan Alliance team: Now we are talking with Victor Nacif. Victor is responsible for design at Nissan Design Europe. Victor, we are standing in front of the Nissan ESFLOW concept car, which has been created in Japan. What are your first impressions?

Renault-Nissan Alliance team: We are here with Anthony Lo, who is responsible of exterior design at Renault. What is Renault showing at Geneva?
Anthony Lo: We have the second and third concept cars, after the DeZir, in a series that shows our new design strategy.

Did you know that Nissan has the broadest range of any car maker? It was a message that wasn’t lost on the journalists who thronged to the Geneva show press conference to see the unveiling of the zero emission ESFLOW.

The Century's Leadership Challenge, the 9AM session held in Congress Hall, grappled with the concept of shared norms, the differences in 21st century thinking, gender and generational diversity, and so on. In between meetings at the Hub, Mr. Ghosn spoke with PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi about the Nissan LEAF and Renault Fluence Z.E. As they stood staring at the Leaf charging outside, she asked what battery it uses. Mr. Ghosn's response: "Ours." He described the cooperation that Nissan has in battery development with NEC, the joint venture called AESC. She said she'll be back for a test drive tomorrow.
