European Commission shift to electrified transport on the right track says Platform for Electro-Mobility
The Platform for Electro-Mobility, of which Renault and Nissan are founding members, welcomes the European Commission’s  Strategy for Low Emission Mobility, which will boost the shift to clean, low carbon transport powered by electricity.

During previous meetings with the Commission, the Platform had stressed that electro-mobility provides a wide range of opportunities, from job creation, to expanding innovation potential in the industry, and allowing Europe to reduce its dependency on imported oil.

These opportunities will only be made possible if significant investments are made towards providing adequate charging infrastructure across Europe and if a common commitment towards encouraging electric mobility is shared and enacted at the EU, national and local level and by the public and private sectors working together.
