Nissan LEAF posts record 30,000 sales in US in 2014

Nissan, the world leader in electric vehicle sales, shattered yet another sales record with 30,200 LEAF vehicles sold in 2014, which is the first time any plug-in has sold more than 30,000 units in a single year.

Renault-Nissan Alliance posts record sales in 2013

The Renault-Nissan Alliance sold a record 8,264,821 vehicles in 2013, propelled by record sales in the car group’s two largest markets, China and the United States.
 
Renault-Nissan’s 2013 calendar-year sales, which include sales of Russia’s AVTOVAZ, increased 2.1% from 2012. This marks the fifth straight year of sales growth. Together, Renault, Nissan and AVTOVAZ account for one in ten cars sold worldwide.

Nissan LEAF sales soar in Atlanta, Georgia
Nissan’s all-electric vehicle, the Nissan LEAF, is selling at historic rates in new cities throughout the U.S.  Atlanta is now the third biggest market for LEAF sales, with more than 700 LEAFs sold in the last few months.
 
Atlanta is also the city where the Renault-Nissan Alliance recently sold its 100,000th electric vehicle.  Allison Howard bought this LEAF just two and a half years after Nissan launched the industry’s first mass-market electric vehicle in December 2010.
