His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visits Nissan

Sunderland, UK, January 20, 2015:  HRH The Prince of Wales visited Nissan's Sunderland plant today to see production of the 100% electric Nissan LEAF and to learn about the Nissan Skills Foundation, a job-creation programme.  

His Royal Highness has a relationship with the plant that dates back almost 30 years.

On Jan. 13, Nissan’s CEO Carlos Ghosn hosted a media roundtable at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. During the roundtable, Ghosn fielded questions from reporters on various topics including his outlook for the global auto market in 2015, China, Russia, as well as electric vehicles and autonomous drive cars.

All-Electric Nissan Leaf Debuts in Korea

Superb show at Argentinian round
The FIA Formula E Championship drivers and teams returned to action in Buenos Aires a few days into the New Year, at the fourth ePrix of the season. After an incident-packed race, Antonio Felix da Costa (Amlin Aguri) won the Argentinian event, which also saw displays of models from the Renault ZE range and the first ever Formula E School Series race.

Nissan and NASA partner to jointly develop and deploy autonomous drive vehicles by end of year
The all-electric Nissan Leaf fitted with autonomous drive equipment allowed to park at NASA’s Ames Research Center.
Nissan Motor Co., through its North American-based organization, and NASA announced on January 9th the formation of a five-year research and development partnership to advance autonomous vehicle systems and prepare for commercial application of the technology.
