Welcome break for EV drivers as quick charge network spreads to UK motorways
Drivers of electric vehicles in the UK will soon be able to drive greater distances on motorways, confident that they will never be too far from a quick charger.

It’s all thanks to an innovative partnership between Nissan and Ecotricity, which has installed 13 more quick chargers to Welcome Break motorway service stations, bringing the number of rapid chargers at Welcome Break sites to 16.

Renault ZOE: cold weather tests

Renault ZOE: cold weather tests
Vehicle powertrains and mechanical components are subjected to tough conditions in winter. So we have to make sure that the cars we put on the road can resist extreme temperatures. EVs get smarter thanks to interoperability

EVs get smarter thanks to interoperability
As global sales of electric vehicles continue to rise, efforts are being made to ensure that the charging infrastructure is future proof and that EVs – no matter where they are built or driven – have compatible charging systems.

The first of two centres to develop and promote commonality in electric mobility on both sides of the Atlantic has opened for business in Chicago in America. It will soon be joined by a European centre, split between sites in the Netherlands and Italy.

Restoring peace to Versailles

Restoring peace to Versailles

Four hundred years ago it was the clip-clop of horses’ hooves and the rumble of wooden wheels from the carriages they pulled. And until recently it was the hum of the internal combustion engine and the buzz of car and van exhausts.
